Trump reduces murder rate in Chicago by 20%

Great work by Donald J. Trump, reverse the violence the city had under the previous, failed administration.

Chicago murders down 20 percent in 2018 compared to last year, police say

Nothing about Trump.

Sure it is. Trump's our President, and if the rate had gone up he would have been blamed.

So he's entitled to take credit for the good news.

No the mayor has always been blamed. Trump has nothing to do with Chicago, but Obama might.

Donald Trump made urban crime a campaign issue so it would be interesting to see what policy changes he has made that might affect this.

President Trump reduced the unemployment rate among inner city minorities to record lows. People are less like to have the energy to go out and commit crimes if they spent the whole day working.

LOL, I didn't know Trump has much control over Chicago?????

What Trump did was have the Attorney General go after Chicago gun criminals at the federal level....which has increased arrests and prison time for these monsters....it also allows them to send these guys to out of state prisons, away from their gangs in Chicago.

You have this....

The way you stop gun violence is to lock up gun offenders....and keep repeat gun offenders locked up for a long time...

As feds help Chicago on guns, Trump aide says city's crime more about 'morality'

"The Trump Administration will not let the bloodshed go on; we cannot accept these levels of violence," the release quoted Sessions as saying. "That's why, under President Trump's strong leadership, we have created the Chicago Gun Strike Force and are sending 20 more permanent ATF agents to Chicago, reallocating federal prosecutors and prioritizing prosecutions to reduce gun violence, and working with our law enforcement partners to stop the lawlessness."
