President Trump's border crisis is only the latest example of the administration enacting a policy with drastic implications and telling Congress to fix it. The problem is that the strategy hasn't worked in the past, with negotiations going down in partisan flames.

Why it matters: If Congress fails yet again to find a legislative solution to a problem thrust upon it by the White House, this time it means that family separation at the border will continue until Trump caves — which is far from a fail-safe option.

The two parties have divided up Congress, and the entire country, for themselves. There is little alternative but at least one other political party. This is within easy reach of the electorate, but seems to be entirely beyond its grasp.
The R-Duopoly reigns, and will continue. It is protected by hundreds of billions of dollars of tax money for its defense.
P.S. It doesn't matter what is "true" if people don't believe it.

The amazing Pres. Trump is a master strategist.

He handed the problem to Congress.

Which took the onus off of him.

Now he can just set back and laugh.

And watch the do nothing Congress fight it out. ...

So a president, that expects Congress to do their God Damned jobs for once, is a bad thing?

Puts the blame where it belongs. Career politicians Haven't fixed this in decades. Time for them to do their dang jobs.

This shit happened under the other Presidents. Didn't hear this shit then.

Enforcing the law is not enacting a policy. And yes, the law will continue to be enforced until and unless the law is changed.

Trump has vowed to put an end to this Democrat-sponsored invasion. I hope his actions carry over to Progressives as well. You are of no use to this country. Quite the opposite, in fact.

Thanks for foolishly admitting the truth.
This doesn't look good.

Congress is refusing to work for the American people and instead are favoring foreign invaders.
So what they want is for the president to do their jobs for them.
It doesn't look good.

I think it depends on who you are and how rational you are. If you can't think logically of course you'll buy into this media manufactured fraud.

Well I believe he has already caved in, but Trump loves this and his base love it. They love to see what is happening at the boarder. That is all we talk about now, not the IG investigation or Mueller or Russia, but I do agree children are more important, MEXICO should pay for the wall if he wants it, but he so chickened out in Mexico.

Political Joke is pushing the narrative like a good progtard...three threads on the illegals being detained.

Hey I've got it. Let's dust off the Japanese internment camps FDR used to house American citizen families

You don't want it to end, you love to see it. Crying toddlers.

Their parents should have been better parents.

Nice parroting the MSM talking points, loon

Yes I understand, get a job and work in a crime laden area, who cares if the little girl is chain raped and the little boy will be forced to become a member of a gang. Admit it, you love this.

Maybe it's true, maybe half the country does want an imperial president who rules with pen and phone. But I don't - and agree with you that it's way past time for Congress to tighten up loopholes as they apply to those who are in this country illegally.

In a blind rush to condemn all things Trump the chattering class lost sight of how our republic works. Congress writes legislation, Presidents sign and enforce it. Executive orders come and go - the only permanent fix to bad law is to replace it through the legislative process.

What was it Chuckie S. said about that?...“There are so many obstacles to legislation and when the president can do it with his own pen, it makes no sense,” Schumer told reporters"

Of course it makes no sense to one of the 'obstacles' who has repeatedly refused to accept responsibility for failing the American people on immigration.

Half wits don't understand that it is the role of Congress to decide such things, not the President.

And no, the President is not a dictator, that is, until the next Dim get in there and continues to bypass Congress.
