Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has denied knowing Robert LiButti, a "high roller" who was banned from New Jersey casinos for his ties to the mafia. The Associated Press

Donald Trump has repeatedly denied that he has had business dealings with members of the mob, accusations that got new airing after Texas Sen. Ted Cruz suggested his rival was reluctant to release his tax returns because they would reveal shady activity.

But in a new report Monday, the daughter of one such figure to whom Trump has been linked in the past says the Republican presidential front-runner is lying about the extent of his relationship with her late father, who was linked to organized crime.

Edith Creamer, the daughter of Robert LiButti, told Yahoo News that Trump and her father, knew each other well.

LiButti was a nationally famous horse trader who was banned from New Jersey casinos for his ties to mob boss John Gotti after a 1991 investigation. That same probe also led to $650,000 in fines against one of Trump's Atlantic City casinos, the Trump Plaza, for violating anti-discrimination laws among other violations.

Then, as now, Trump denied knowing LiButti, who died in 2014.

"I have heard he is a high roller, but if he was standing in front of me, I wouldn't know what he looked like," Trump told the Philadelphia Inquirer in February 1991.

"He's a liar. Of course he knew him," Creamer told Yahoo News. "I flew in the [Trump] helicopter with [Trump's then wife] Ivana and the kids. My dad flew it up and down [to Atlantic City]. My 35th birthday party was at the Plaza and Donald was there. After the party, we went on his boat, his big yacht."

ILMAO. I know a billionaire and people say the say things. They have for decades. Meanwhile, he's one of the classiest men on Earth with the reputation. Why this rhetoric? We can start they're billionaires.
