With trophy hunting you have millions of dollars being put into Wildlife conservancy through donations and the permit fees. The meat from the trophy hunt is usually donated to local tribes who dearly need the meat.

Trophy hunting doesn't change this. The money ends up in the pockets of corrupt officials and nothing more. No more money gets spent on dealing with poaching because there are trophy hunters.

This weird belief that killing the biggest, strongest animals is good for the species is truly bizarre. I once had a fur trapper tell me he was helping to wipe out mange and rabies. My guess is that he put up signs in front of his traps - "Only sick, old, injured animals, step here".

By definition, trophy hunting harms the species and the environment. Viagra would be cheaper.
