A few years ago I was browsing minimum wage and its effects. The overall economy might go up a TAD, but the non-skilled GDP goes DOWN. Poor people TRYING to work and they still get fucked by the people that want to "help" them. Skilless losing a job means welfare goes up.

The GOP *IS* NOT known for raising the min wage.

They are more famous (ala GHW Bush) for raising payroll taxes instead.

So don't expect any min wage increases anytime soon.
