Trump is willing to do whatever it takes to get what he wants. He wants his border wall. He will not provide relief for children being separated at the border from their parents unless his wall is part of the package. Every previous President would cave based on the morality of taking children from their parents. Trump does not have the moral compass and he will not flinch until he gets what he wants.

He promised this to his constituents. The majority of those who voted for him say who cares about a bunch of immigrant children, the wall is more important. They won the election. They rule our country.

Trump and his followers are defining who the USA is in today's world.

How about looking at it the other way. Those in opposition to honest security and a border wall that will prevent this from continuing over and over until America collapses economically, would rather allow this to continue. than to support a much needed barrier between them and your country.

That is assuming the US will collapse economically because of illegal immigrants.
Our economy has come to depend on low paid illegals.
I do not feel building a wall is the answer. We do need to secure our borders in a better way. The key is to go after the US companies that hire them. The majority come for jobs. If we stop the jobs, the majority will stop coming. Look at the state of Arizona as an example.

In the US if a parent forced their children to walk across the country without food or water I'm pretty sure the children would be taken away from the parent.

The immigrants are desperate to provide a better life for their children.

Immigrants are much like Trump supporters, they are desperate for a better life.

The illegal immigrants are willing to take risks to get bin the USA and then WORK.

We do need control of our borders. But it can be done with wisdom and compassion.

I do not think the wall will bring as much control to the border as Trump claims. The cost/benefit does not work out. I say stop the jobs that hire illegals. Use more high tech solutions.

Trump's own statement is the practice of separating children from parents when arrested will serve as a deterrent and he wants a bill that funds the wall along with changing children being split from parents. The children are a bargaining chip and a very effective bargaining chip if you lack the morality to play it.
