That is preposterous on at least two counts:

• Trump hasn't the integrity to be declared a member of the group described by the term "best men," let alone "best POTUS"
• Despite George's legacy, the fact is that when he was in office, he was neither better nor worse than any other decent POTUS. That said, one can't legitimately compare subsequent presidents to Washington for as the first POTUS, he had both the burden and freedom to define the presidency.
  • Washington’s Role in the Controversy Over Slavery -- On the state matter of slavery, the issue that would rend the nation nearly 100 years after his tenure, Washington was a coward. Sure, he freed his own slaves, but he lacked the fortitude to use his political capital to spearhead a resolution to what at the time was the most destructive issue facing the nation.
