Trump is not going to be able to keep his promises to improve jobs in the coal industry, as he faces "an uphill battle fulfilling his promises to revive the U.S. coal industry. The battlefield became even more pitched when Canada said it would speed up its effort to reduce its coal consumption.

America's neighbor to the north was the fifth-largest market for U.S. coal in 2015. Its pledge on Monday to get off coal sooner than expected will only pile more pressure on a U.S. industry that has seen nearly half of its production fall into bankruptcy due to falling demand, lower prices and a global oversupply of coal."

How long do you think the voters in coal country are willing to wait for those jobs to come back?

I'll have to look for it, but I think Trump promised to bring back those jobs quickly.

Too bad for the lib OP, that Canadas effort will be Trumped by more affordable coal, that has readily available plant in which to generate power. The green initiative will quickly become economically unfeasible.

All of the greenie libs had better log off and throw their computers away! They are contributing to a YUGE carbon footprint. :D

Also, they should give up their vehicles and electricity.

If they REALLY cared, they would put their words into action and get off the grid. Most of them are city dwellers and no nothing about living off the land. Could you imagine if they had to kill their own food. OMG, that would be funny. Lol.

All the pink flamingos in Florida would go extinct overnight!

Trump isn't going to make coal more affordable. Trump doesn't sell coal, nor does he mine it. The coal industry is on its death bed. US coal fired plants are switching to natural gas because fracking has made it the cheaper, cleaner choice.

Markets are drying up. Even the Chinese are giving up on coal because the smog and pollution is killing their population, and the air in big cities is becoming unbreathable.

Plus, there is much, much more money to be made in the conversion to sustainable fuel sources than there is in carbon based fuels. Promoting coal at this point is the equivalent to making horses and buggies cheaper and more readily available in the early 1990's.

Trump is going to put you in a reeducation camp the day after he is inaugurated. Can you fact check that?

I expect the title of the post to have something to do with the original post.

The only reason there is money to be made in a lot of those ventures is because of government slush money that is available in those industries.
