Trump is owed nothing by anyone holding office in Washington, D. C. The narrow Republican majorities in fact mean that Senator Schumer is equally important as Senator McConnell. Former Speaker Pelosi is just as important as current House Speaker Ryan.

The new President is only a part-time incumbent. There is a substantial business empire that factors into every new decision, and every new policy, coming from the White House.

Mostly: The House and Senate have nothing to do with likely most of what is coming from the Executive Branch--which is actually more "Pre-occupied" with social media, and other matters, than is Wall Street!

The logic of "winning," among the "Losers for Trump," is not get more votes than the opposition(?): But to get fewer votes than anyone Democrat, running for office(?)! The likelihood of House Republicans, choosing to become losers, is small. It's not even a Great Leap, if anyone recalls the Presidential Primary. Since the poll numbers were right about the plurality for Clinton, then anyone in the House and Senate is going to pay more attention to those. The Trump International Offices, all being run at taxpayer expense, from the White House, are easily not Republican House or Senate agenda winners.

Notice: If it's good for the White House, then likely it's going nowhere!

Just coincidentally, besides the FDR-styled Public Works spending projects, the Trump White House will be offering health insurance for everyone(?), possibly single-payer. More likely it will give away money, anyone surmises. The Chrysler Big Three in Hollywood, were Harger, Haldeman and Gregg. That Haldeman's boy would actually become just as world-famous as would his boss, Richard Nixon(?): Nixon too, was of crooked heritage. . .more obvious as it turned out! One of my great aunt's had been early on, one of Nixon's Sunday School teachers. Penn Quaker Heritage has lots of problems, starting even then, and continuing now!

There were protections against the populist crowd at the start--benefiting Planter technology. There are protections against the populist crowd even now, benefiting people intending progress for people of domestic heritage, too. "Populist," in that context, means the coastal pluralities of liberals, and recently emerging, ethnic and immigrant populations. Those populations more easily benefited from trade agreements.

Just how "Protected" the non-Trump reliant, elected officials, are willing to be: More likely is not too much. Every action of the new federal legislatures soon starts with, "What do Trump Family business interests have to do with it?!" Next comes, "What international prosperity benefits will happen by curtailing international prosperity benefits(?)?!" Then comes, "What is there to manufacture for a limited, domestic market only?!"

The coasts do trade and technology. Probably the center will want to do commodities. A tax on imports, however, makes domestic brand imported products more expensive. So maybe the manufacturers just ship stuff everywhere else.
