The inflated numbers are based on "hurricane related" deaths. NOT by the hurricane.

For example, if you hit a tree that had come down because it was weakened by the hurricane 5 fucking months afterwards, it was counted as a hurricane related death.

If you were a construction worker putting on a new roof after Maria and fell off and died, it was a hurricane related death.
