Trump changing health insurance forever!

...or, until his executive order is struck down in court.

Trump: Executive order would allow interstate purchase of health insurance

This is an absolutely terrible idea. It was the rotten Easter egg hidden in the GOP plan for years. Even they didn't like it, on average.

Jonathan Gruber said that if Americans weren't so fucking stupid that Barrypuppetcare would have had no chance of passing...what say ye?

I thought you lefties believed in choice?
Insightful....

You do realize you buy your car insurance across state lines right?

You do realize that where insurance company resides has right near ZERO to do with our healthcare problems and costs?

Federal government never prohibited sale across state lines, these are STATE side laws. So it is HILARIOUS to watch you state-rights-constitutionalists! embrace both legislative process circumventing with Executive Order AND Trumping (pun intended) State rights.

This EO will NEVER survive a court challenge, but I do appreciate the way it makes total asses out of Trumpster conservatives.

Trump: We have the votes for Graham-Cassidy health-care bill 15 Hours Ago | 02:32
President Donald Trump on Wednesday claimed six times that a Republican senator being in the hospital — who actually wasn't in the hospital — is the reason the Senate couldn't pass a bill to repeal and replace much of Obamacare this week.

Trump also claimed that "we have the votes" to pass that bill — but then said, "we'll have to do it in January or February."

Maybe this kind of thinking is what we should really be worried about.

This such blatant bullshit that Trump may as well have come out and said - "Look! I can tell anything I want to these idiots and they'll believe it it no matter how ludicrous it is."

3 Republicans came out against the bill - simple math dictates that it is game over and it doesn't fucking matter who went to the hospital.

At least now Trump is forgoing all appearances of a Conservative and going full on Liberal.

Why is it bad? Wouldn't it allow for much larger group plans so premiums could be more affordable, like BC/BS?

It is bad because for it to actually happen the Fed Govt would have to force states to ignore their own rules and regulations. That is a good thing if you are a liberal or a socialist or a communist, it is a bad thing if you are conservative or a libertarian.

You lefties constantly compare the mandate to buy health coverage with the requirement to have car insurance. Why run from comparing the two now?

Obamacare and the left's push for it never had anything to do with affordability. It was all about control. They can call it what they want and give a name with "Affordable" in it. When what it does shows it's anything but that, what it's called is irrelevant.

I can take some chicken shit, make it look like chicken salad, and call it such. How many that consider Obamacare affordable because it's CALLED that would eat it.

I wonder if you are smart enough to see the irony in having the "don't tread on me" flag as you avatar and supporting the POTUS taking away state rights via EO. right now I am leaning towards no
