Obama lied about his deportations.
Trump's "rhetoric" signaled to potential illegals that a change was coming, and they have adjusted their behavior accordingly.
The Wall will happen. Deportations are going to skyrocket. Actions have already been taken, and the simple fact of knowing that upper leadership actually WANTS results is going to change things itself.

I agree with you. No one can "fix" immigration. There will always be illegal immigrants. A border wall will just delay them for a short time. There are many ways to get around a wall.He is a powerless puppet. He will fail on immigration just as he failed on healthcare.
