Newspapers have always been biased, since creation in each town or city and are known for announcing their candidates in elections ahead of time, in their papers....

I seriously doubt, this law suit for bias, has any legs.... it's more of a political statement, to help Trump bash the Press, imo.

Agreed. It's very difficult to sue the media for bias, even more so for a politician to pull if off. The offense has to be really blatant and egregious, like the case with Richard Jewell. This suit will be DOA.

If this were to go to court, then there would be the ability to develop evidence. That means CNN would be able to subpoena documents and testimony to show that their reporting was true correct?

In addition, if Trump is the one suing - could he claim Executive Privilege to not testify?

Ah wait, it would be a civil suit and the SCOTUS has already ruled that Presidents can be required to testify if they are a direct party based on the Clinton case. And since he would be the one suing he’d be a direct party.

Wrong tactic.

CNN is a business with special privileges.

Just revoke their license to broadcast until they balance their news reporting. Not opinion shows, but the actual news reporting.
