Trump blasts mayor of San Juan on Twitter...

Puerto Rican citizens do not pay federal income tax.

Yet they expect the U.S. federal government to spend billions to rebuild their 3rd world island. ....

Who's fault is it that they don't pay taxes?

Trump Golfed as Puerto Rico Struggled
September 30, 2017 at 7:02 am EDTBy Taegan Goddard42 Comments

Washington Post: “As Hurricane Maria made landfall on Wednesday, Sept. 20, there was a frenzy of activity publicly and privately. The next day, President Trump called local officials on the island, issued an emergency declaration and pledged that all federal resources would be directed to help.”

“But then for four days after that — as storm-ravaged Puerto Rico struggled for food and water amid the darkness of power outages — Trump and his top aides effectively went dark themselves.”

“Trump jetted to New Jersey that Thursday night to spend a long weekend at his private golf club there, save for a quick trip to Alabama for a political rally. Neither Trump nor any of his senior White House aides said a word publicly about the unfolding crisis.”

Puerto Rico update: flash floods and health crises

Puerto Rico is still largely without power and at least 16 people have died more than a week after Hurricane Maria hit the island.

  • The region is expecting heavy rainfall and is under flash flood watch until Sunday evening, per the National Weather Service.
  • Millions are still without water and power, including the U.S. commonwealth, according to the U.S. Energy Dept.
  • A FEMA official said "you'll see more presence, more equipment, in support of the municipalities" over the coming days.
  • Puerto Rico Governor Rosselló said yesterday that if the 3,000 crates of private-sector goods can't be delivered to the island, the government will ask the owners to sell them so that they can deliver to Puerto Rico's residents.
Trump tweeted about Puerto Rico this morning. "I will be going to Puerto Rico on Tuesday with Melania. Will hopefully be able to stop at the U.S. Virgin Islands (people working hard)." And he retweeted a couple Puerto Rico messages, first from the U.S. Air Force: "#AirForce relief efforts in #PuertoRico & #VirginIslands" and another that was a video from the Dept. of Defense showing the relief efforts in PR.

But he started the day with a few tweets about San Juan's mayor:

  • "The Mayor of San Juan, who was very complimentary only a few days ago, has now been told by the Democrats that you must be nasty to Trump."
  • "...Such poor leadership ability by the Mayor of San Juan, and others in Puerto Rico, who are not able to get their workers to help. They.... want everything to be done for them when it should be a community effort. 10,000 Federal workers now on Island doing a fantastic job."
  • "The military and first responders, despite no electric, roads, phones etc., have done an amazing job. Puerto Rico was totally destroyed."
Trump went after the "fake news" in a series of tweets:
  • "Fake News CNN and NBC are going out of their way to disparage our great First Responders as a way to "get Trump." Not fair to FR or effort!"
  • "The Fake News Networks are working overtime in Puerto Rico doing their best to take the spirit away from our soldiers and first R's. Shame!"

Trump calls it like he sees it. There are 10,000 cargo containers at the port they have the trucks what they don' t have are the drivers. That is the fault of the leadership on the ground If they cannot rally their people that is not Trumps fault As far as drinking water why can't they drink rain water?
Ask the folks in Houston why drinking rain water might not be such a good idea. Are you channel inimitable Marie Antoinette?

Washington before he departed for Bedminster, New Jersey where he is
expected to head to his Trump National Golf Club, telling them that
Puerto Rico is going really well.…let them drink Trump wines if they lack water

People in the Florida Keys had built cisterns to collect rain water for drinking.
Do a little research!

There was a research held in Australia showing that rain water is safe to drink, as long as it is collected in clean containers and properly filtered. However, since rain water contains no minerals, we should add mineral intakes if we consume rain water for more than 1 month. See also: Health Benefits of RiceWater.

Responding to Donald Trump’s unhinged and racist Twitter tantrum on Saturday morning in which the president attacked both the San Juan mayor and the Puerto Rican people, Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz laughed and said she’s too busy saving lives to care about Trump’s hateful ramblings.

In an interview on MSNBC’s AM Joy, Cruz said, “I have no time for distractions.”

I guess the priority is stroking Trump's massive ego. Criticize him, dare to point out the emperor has no clothes and your people will suffer as a result.

And still his supporters cheer.

This says more about their state of mind than anything else. First, they were susceptible to the huckster buffoon's message of dog m, gloom and he alone can fix this. Second, they never really had any humanity to begin with. One must aspire to and earn humanity through empathy. These folks were never raised to think of anyone beyond their own reflection in the mirror, hence their admiration for someone equally as egotistical.

Don't forget, in Trumps own words, his supporters would still support him, if he shot someone in Manhattan. What he was implying is, they are so weak-minded, that no matter what Trump does, they will goose-step to his glory.
What pathetic little people.

Kim Jong Un's supporters are equally as supportive.
as are Hillarys

"“Such poor leadership ability by the Mayor of San Juan, and others in Puerto Rico, who are not able to get their workers to help,”"

that doesn't sound like poor leadership to you on the mayors part?

The mayor can't get locals to drive trucks to distribute the aid materials, and it's Trumps fault?

The White House on Thursday waived an act that was preventing foreign ships from delivering supplies to Puerto Rico, more than a week after Hurricane Mariadevastated the US territory.

waiving an act that allowed more support to arrive at ports in PR is a fail?

How many times were you dropped on your head as a child?

Trump blames San Juan mayor, Democrats over Puerto Rico response

Trump slams Puerto Rico: ‘They want everything to be done for them’

What Trump is saying is that if you protest in the most peaceful way possible by kneeling because unarmed blacks are being shot, you are unAmerican.

If you protest Trump's slow response to Puerto Rico you are hating American soldiers so you are unAmerican.

Trump is hiding behind America when people protest his massive failures. This is a pu$$y of the highest order. The lowest sort of scum. A true Fascist.

Unfortunately, Trump really does represent the Republican Party. Most Republicans feel the way Trump does. It's only a matter of "style". Trump and others of his ilk only say out loud what the majority of Republicans are thinking.

More than a week later, 20+ days after Irma first struck, when he waived it for Texas & Florida immediately and they were not hit that hard?

It is a massive fail and racism of course
