What does Trump tell us about "...how baked-in the fear of Africans is in this country"?

Dr Gerald Horne on why white Americans have perceived Africans "...as eternal aliens and outliers from the very beginning."

Gerald Horne’s ‘The Counter-Revolution of 1776’

"A critical event in the buildup to the American Revolution occurred in 1775 when the Virginia governor, Lord Dunmore, issued an edict 'offering to free and arm Africans to squash an anti-colonial revolt.'

"This edict incited and enraged the colonists and contributed to the momentum for revolution that was then reaching critical mass.

"Horne’s work has never been more relevant or sobering.

"With Donald Trump in the White House and open bigotry, like that witnessed recently in Charlottesville, on the rise, it’s essential to understand how baked-in the fear of Africans is in this country.

"As Horne notes, Africans were perceived by white Americans as eternal aliens and outliers from the very beginning."

Good thing they have you to protect them.

The past is the past and will remain in the past.

Obama was elected twice and would have been elected a third time if the law had permitted it.

"Half the country thinks Donald Trump is a racist. HALF.

"Analysis by Chris Cillizza, CNN Editor-at-large

Some things have changed since Obama left.

Trump has dragged this country back to its racist roots, and, apparently, nine of ten Republicans approve.

Most Left Wingers are obsessed with race because they are racist.

Most Left Wingers are obsessed with race because they are racist.
Were the racists among US Founding Fathers obsessed by the tradition of white privilege or the nightmare of profits?

The Counter-Revolution of 1776 and the Construction of Whiteness - Gerald Horne on Reality Asserts Itself (3/6)

"'Men make their own history, but they do not make it as they please; they do not make it under self-selected circumstances, but under circumstances existing already, given and transmitted from the past. The tradition of all dead generations weighs like a nightmare on the brains of the living.'"

"That was Karl Marx in The Eighteenth Brumaire of Louis Bonaparte, written in 1852."

Yeah racism doesn't exist anymore. Lil Wayne said so. Neither does sexism.
Oh, they both do. It’s policy for democrats. They learned from the Negro Leagues that integration is bad for business. Dems need to keep segregation alive.

Trump has dragged this country back to its racist roots, and, apparently, nine of ten Republicans approve.

There is something we can do to fix this.

Vote all the Republicons out of office
Can Senators and Representatives be impeached?
I think Democrats have about a 7% edge over Republicans nationally; however, voter suppression tactics and gerrymandering combine to negate those numbers.

Imho, Democrats should stop trying to convert moderate Republicans and, instead, go after the forty percent of eligible voters who currently don't see enough difference between the two major parties to bother casting a ballot.

To Win, Democrats Need to Move Hard to the Left
