Informative (as usual), but it seems to beg a larger question: Why are these cities/settlements being built where they are?
Is it because land within the pre-1967 borders is scarce or undesirable? Or is it a declaration of ownership and/or bargaining chip regarding the land acquired by Israel after that time? Or maybe both?
The only permanent element in the Middle East seems to be enduring conflict.

The reality is there are about 12 million Moslem Arabs in Palestine/Israel, and only about 6 million Jews, in Palestine/Israel.
