saw it monday..paid 15 bucks....ouchie....

excellent movie....sticks to the book....actors are all strong...esp matt damon in the place of glen campbell....

bridges is great and the new actress playing maddie ross did it well

good western

Bite yore tongue, Maddie! The original True Grit was great..I haven't seen this one but my mom and sister did and they both said it was incredible.

I trust their taste, I can't wait to see it. Except they ride a horse to death and I don't know if I can handle that so soon after my own sweetheart's death...

You liked Matt Damon? I thought he was the weak link myself. Maybe you just have a crush on Matt?

Jeff Bridges and Hailee Steinfeld (That 14 year old girl) are gonna get Oscar nominations I'll bet. Great movie, It's a must see!

I saw the new one a couple weeks ago and was very impressed. Watched the original this past weekend and thought it was good movie, but definitely preferred the more recent film.

I love grits. Grits with cheese...grits with butter and syrup or molasses...mmmm...

OK...OK...One of my best buddies pirates movies ..not to sell....just to watch himself and share with me.. He offered it to me two weeks ago.. I'll watch it. I haven't had to go to a theatre to see a first run in several years... But if I have a gag reaction I'm gonna turn it off.

It's been getting terrific reviews, bones. But I dunno....westerns are not my cup of tea.

Yeah but this isn't a western, this is western à lathe COEN brothers.

I mean, serious, do they even know how to make a bad movie?

Sure, sure I heard of grits, I just actually never seen a grit before.

I liked it...it was funny and gritty. Maybe a little too bloody. Odd that avenging one death resulted in so many other deaths, though.

Great movie, but I still prefer the Duke's version of "fill your hand you son-of-a-bitch!" Perhaps that's because he was the first one to say that line or perhaps it's because only the Duke can give it that special touch. Either way, the re-make was pretty good. And I'll throw in with Matt Damon being the better leading actress than Glen Campbell.

I cannot believe that that line made it through editing.

Grits is a well known dish to anybody who is Italian

Polenta was one of the staples of the Roman Legions and is eaten as prevalently in Northern Italy as pasta.

What is polenta made from? Well, any grain, but usually its made from whole-grain corn mush.

What is grits made from? Corn without the germ.

No Italian I know hadn't eaten polena.

Every Italian I ever knew, knew that grits and polena were the same dish.
