I know there are others that have said the same as I; that there shouldn't be any limits in donations as long as there is full disclosure.

The Senate is expected to hold a cloture vote on the motion to proceed to a campaign finance bill known as the DISCLOSE Act, which would require disclosure of campaign spending by entities such as unions and corporations above $10,000.

As of 07/12/12 there are no amendments.

Put your citizenship where your mouth is and contact your Senators and tell them to vote in favor of S.3369

And just why in the hell are they bringing this up now ?

They know it won't get past anyone because the campaigns already have momentum.

It's all show.

Let's see if they address it, say....next March.

It would be nice to see how many overseas dollars Obama using to blow smoke.

You can contribute as much as you want as long as you can make up a convincing lie as to who made the donation? Yeah, that'll be worthwhile! How does it stop the legal bribery of candidates? How does it change the perception that both parties are the same, if big donors fund both sides? Public financing is the only way to go, if you really want change.
