The new Netflix series is an ambitious telling about the rise of British Socialism in the post-war years. It is intertwined with the story, I suspect highly fictionalized, of the transformation of the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) into the CIA in response to Soviet infiltration of labor governments in Europe and the British Commonwealth.
There are no cut-and-dry characters in this show, everyone has multiple agendas and no one is to be trusted. Good-guys, bad-guys, you don't know who is who.
I recommend it.
