'Top kill' halts flow of oil and gas, admiral says

Hi... my name is Larry the Liberal.

I don't have a crisis to wring my hands about and to blame previous GOP administrations for.

What am I supposed to do now?

Well Larry there are two options

A. Find a way to tax someone.
B. Expand the powers of some government agency to control someone else's life.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves just yet....some reports say there is still oil flowing but it's significantly reduced...wait for the cement....then pray.

This happened because I prayed, with goose bumps from my toes to the top of my head prayed, for BP to be able to stop this gusher....

and I don't care what you guys think! :D

You and me both, girlfriend! :D

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Care4all again.

Where is Spidey? He was started 37 threads a day about the oil slick. Now they have stopped (or almost stopped) the leak and he says nothing.

I wonder why. Could it be he liked being the victim?

hmmmm

Damn! There goes my idea of building an underwater refinery on top of the gusher. I coulda made a fortune.

Hallelujah!! Now comes the bigger question. Did they ever decide who and how they are going to clean up the mess?

Rand Paul says, "Accidents happen and it's un American to blame BP".

-----Using the mining tragedy as an example:

"We had a mining accident that was very tragic. ... Then we come in and it's always someones fault. Maybe sometimes accidents happen," he said.

The damage from the oil that is in the Gulf has just started. You want to politisize this disaster, asshole, you are the guys with the "Drill, baby, Drill" mantra.

Right now, and for the next several months, the focus had better be on how to prevent as much damage as possible, and ameliorate damage which is not preventable.

We need now to get our scientists from NOAA out in force, studying the currents at various depths, the likely wind patterns, and where we need to have people ready next to attempt to keep the damage at a minimum. Out with a big credit card.

Hold up there James Carville.....the damage has already been done...while this thing developed into the mega-disaster it did Obama sat on his hands and let BP "handle" it. This will cost Obama the White House on 2012...James Carville's been sic'd on him!!!!!

 Yea those government paid scientist really came through on stopping this oil flow.

Lets just throw billions more to the idiots.

Feds: BP still best fix for spill
The Obama administration's point man on the oil spill rejected the notion of removing BP and taking over the crisis Monday, saying the government has neither the company's expertise nor its deep-sea equipment.

"To push BP out of the way, it would raise the question, to replace them with what?"

:eusa_wall: DOLT!!! :eusa_wall:

Yea, smart white wingers feel government scientists are stupid because they couldn't stop the oil flow. Never mind that it's how many thousands of feet below the surface, and then the well is drilled thousands MORE?

They should have used all that government oil rigging and equipment we have. What? We don't have any? We must have it. White wingers NEVER talk out their ass. They don't need education and science. They have "common sense".
