Too Funny- Gallup Poll- Papa Obama behind Generic Republican

This just in

Latest polls show generic kitchen appliance ahead of Obama by double digits in 2012 race.

Reuters/Ipsos poll:

For President in 2012

Generic Potted Fern - 44%
Generic Kitchen Appliance - 40%
Barry 0bama - 10%
Potato - 6%

Margin of error +/- 0.2%

Once the obvious racism of the Fern is pointed out by the MSM, over and over
I am sure Papa Obama will regain his top position

Obama inherited a 7.8 unemployment rate that was losing 700,000 jobs a month. It was no gift from George Bush.

NO it wasn't. Although if you go to a right wing board, they'll blame it on Democrats taking Congress in 2006 (which is when everything started to go south).

But at the end of the day, Bush won't be on the ballot next year, and it's Obama's economy in all it's glory.

Just remind those idiots that the Republicans are back and they own the economy now.

Sorry, you really can't tell those idiots anything.

The fact is, Obama's in the White House. It's his 9.2% unemployment, it's his $4.00 a gallon gasoline. Is it fair? Maybe not, but that's the reality of it.

To be fair,

the election is way off and Gallup says it is not statistically significant; but,
the last time the same poll was taken -- a month ago -- Papa Obama held a three point lead over a generic Republican . A swing is a large 8 percentage points in one month is not good.

Furthermore, Gallup says Papa Obama trails the generic Republican by 5 percent .
While the notes to the poll give it "95% confidence that the maximum margin of sampling error is ±4 percentage points."
It is outside the margin of error

Refresh.

The Republicans are running their weakest field in a generation. Once Romney wins the nomination, he will offer token resistance to Obama

The lack of enthusiasm for any Republican is uninspiring

GOP will have to wait until 2016

The lack of enthusiasm for any of Papa Obama's economic policies is uninspiring

Good to seem some on the Left still have "Hope"
It may all you have come 2012

Rasmussen's generic Congressional poll has the Republican lead slipping this week to two points. It's going to be a very interesting election. The Republicans could take control of the Senate, increase their lead in the House, and take the White House. On the other hand, Obama could be re-elected, and the Dems could hold the Senate, and actually take back the House.

The biggest factor will be whether or not the Dems become serious about attacking the deficit, and then how they plan to do it. If they actually campaign on cutting spending along with increasing taxes, not to spend on more programs, but to get the budget somewhat in balance, I think you will see Independents flock to the Democratic Party. On the other hand, if the electorate gets the feeling that they are not serious about spending cuts along with some tax increases, then I think they will be writing their own obituary, at least for now.

One thing about the electorate; most of it does not lean far right or far left. They only go that way when they must decide between the "worst of two evils" as they say.

For the fifth week in a row, a generic Republican candidate edges President Obama in a hypothetical 2012 election match-up.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of Likely U.S. Voters finds a generic Republican candidate earning 46% of the vote, while the president picks up support from 43%. Four percent (4%) prefer some other candidate, and another seven percent (7%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Last week, the GOP candidate received 47% of the vote to Obama’s 42%.

And of course 1% is well within the margin of error and either way is essentially immaterial.

Both Obama and the generic Republican earn strong support from their respective parties. Voters not affiliated with either major political party favor the Republican candidate by a narrow 42% to 39% margin.

The president leads among women, voters under the age of 40 and blacks. The Republican is heavily favored among males, older voters and whites.

Sixty-five percent (65%) of the Political Class favors Obama, while 51% of Mainstream voters prefer the generic Republican.

"Political class" for those not familiar with Rasmussen, the "political class" are those among likely voters who on at least two of the following: trust political leaders more than the American people; don't see the federal government as its own special interest group; and think government and big business do or can work together in the ways that help consumers and investors.

Populists or Mainstream Americans take the opposite point of view on at least two of those issues.

As of March, 2009, when Rasmussen first started using these designations among likely voters, 55% of Americans Are Populist, 7% Support the Political Class,

Everybody else doesn't know what they think about at least two of these things.

Republicans have led on the Generic Congressional Ballot every week since June 2009, leading by as much as 12 points and as little as two. (This past week it has been two due to the GOP's blinking and caving on the debt ceiling debate last week.)

Obama has absolutely nothing to run on. Everything he has touched is a disaster. I agree that we need a strong candidate and not Romney. I am tired of the pretty rich boys thinking that they have all the answers.

If the people's choice turns out to be Romney, however, won't you vote for him? The GOP has a pretty lackluster field out there so far, but ANY one of those declared or who might yet declare would do far less damage to the country than what Obama and company have done. ANY one of them would make a better president.
