It was! It was hilarious too. He met his wife, Rita Wilson, on that show and they're still together after all these years.

Turner and Hooch. Everyone asks if my Pit Bull is "Hooch". The dog was obviously the star of the film. Hanks played a remarkably sensitive supporting role.

You know that part of the movie, where Hanks and the dog are doing a stake out? And Hanks has this long conversation with the dog? Did you know that was all ad libbed and done in one take?

I dont really see his potential. His characters, aside from forest gump, are indistiguishable from each other. I see only one acting style througout most of his movies.

Hanks does a great job in choosing his films

To go from Splash to Philadelphia to Gump to Private Ryan shows a breadth of characters he is willing to play.

And he invests himself in his roles. He lost so much weight while filming Castaway and Philadelphia. And he seems to be one of the few really nice people in show business.

Spencer Tracy won Best Actor Oscars in two successive years. So did Hanks. No easy feat!

I liked his portrail of a 13 year old in a mans body in Big

He could have camped it up for laughs but it was very tender and convincing
