Former teacher arrested on child porn charges
(New Haven-AP, Aug. 4, 2005 8:30 AM) _ Federal investigators say a former Westport, Connecticut, middle school teacher accidentally left a CD full of child pornography on a neighbor's computer in Danby, Vermont.
Court documents say 67-year-old Paul Held had thousands of images of children, some as young as two-years-old. Investigators say he left the CD on a computer he borrowed while visiting his home in Danby.
Investigators say some pictures appear to have been taken with Held's digital camera. The affidavit does not say whether Held is suspected of taking the pictures.
Investigators say Held told the neighbor that the CD that could "get a fellow some years in jail."
