Nakba Day - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A bit of perspective here:

"The Nakba is the heart of the Palestinians’ backward-looking national narrative, which depicts the creation of the State of Israel in 1948 as the original sin that dispossessed the land’s native people. Every year, on the anniversary of Israel’s independence, more and more Palestinians (including Arab citizens of Israel) commemorate the Nakba with pageants that express longing for a lost paradise. Every year, the legend grows of the crimes committed against the Palestinians in 1948, crimes now routinely equated with the Holocaust. Echoing the Nakba narrative is an international coalition of leftists that celebrates the Palestinians as the quintessential Other, the last victims of Western racism and colonialism."

The Nakba Obsession by Sol Stern, City Journal Summer 2010

Would you care to estimate the blame that should be attributed to

1. Arab nations that refuse to assimilate these folks

2. The 'victims' themselves who are satisfied to wallow in the camps?

Hey, Jos....let me cheer you up with a couple of levities...

Q. How many Palestinians does it take to change a light bulb?
A. None! They sit in the dark forever and blame the Jews for it!

And this one:
A Palestinian mother told her friends proudly, “My first son blew himself up in an Israeli synagogue, and he killed or maimed two dozen infidel men, women, and children. My second son walked into an Israeli school, where he shot eight children and a teacher to death before an IDF sniper brought him down. My third son is doing life in an Israeli prison for raping and murdering a Christian girl.”
“I thought she had four sons,” a bystander whispered.
“She disowned Abdul for behaving like an infidel; he became a biochemist and discovered a cure for cancer,” another bystander explained.

"by Sol Stern" :eusa_eh: Ever heard of the term- "subjective"? :eusa_hand:

Try again. Those tasteless jokes don't help you either :eusa_hand:

What jokes?

They're parables.

PBS: Civilization and the Jews
The interaction of Jewish history and Western civilization successively assumed different forms. In the Biblical and Ancient periods, Israel was an integral part of the Near Eastern and classical world, which gave birth to Western civilization. It shared the traditions of ancient Mesopotamia and the rest of that world with regard to it’s own beginning; it benefited from the decline of Egypt and the other great Near Eastern empires to emerge as a nation in it’s own right; it asserted it’s claim to the divinely promised Land of Israel
PBS - Heritage

Since 1948, there have been over 105 General Assembly UN resolutions and over 224 Security Council resolutions passed against Israel in relation to Palestine, Lebanon and Syria condemning or deploring Israel for deportations of Palestinians, for refusal to cooperate with the UN, for assassinations, for killing Palestinian students, for denying human rights of Palestinians, for raids on Gaza, for Israel’s use of resources from occupied territories, for failure to abide by the Geneva Conventions, for repeated military interventions in Lebanon and Syria, reiterating Israel’s claim to Jerusalem is null and void, calling on Israel to cease building settlements in occupied territories, to comply with UN decisions, reaffirming the “inalienable rights of the Palestinian people”, including the right to national sovereignty and the right of return…to name a few.

Most have have been ignored and /or vetoed by the USA…..

8 years ago, the UN’s International Court of Justice (ICJ) ruled on the matter of the Israeli Annexation/Apartheid Wall that ‘Israel is under an obligation to terminate its breaches of international law; it is under an obligation to cease forthwith the works of construction of the wall being built in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including in and around East Jerusalem, to dismantle forthwith the structure therein situated, and to repeal or render ineffective forthwith all legislative and regulatory acts relating thereto, in accordance with paragraph 151 of this Opinion”.

To this day, brave Palestinians demonstrate and struggle against the relentless encroachment of the Annexation Wall on their lands.

they will claim that six million disappeared during the relocation, and demand financial restitution?

I wonder what term the so called Chosen People will use when Israel is no more and they have to be relocated else where?

Last Exodus?

Holohoax II ?

Maybe, open a quran? You don't even know your own religion--How do you manage to get through life so utterly ignorant and hateful?

Your own god of the quran created Israel for the Children of Israel and made them his Chosen People.
Quran 10:93: We settled the Children of Israel in a beautiful dwelling place, and provided for them sustenance of the best: it was after knowledge had been granted to them
Quran 45:16: We did aforetime grant to the Children of Israel the Book the Power of Command, and Prophethood; We gave them, for Sustenance, things good and pure; and We favoured them above the nations

Nakba Day (Arabic: يوم النكبة Yawm an-Nakbah, meaning "day of the catastrophe") is generally commemorated on May 15, the day after the Gregorian calendar date for Israeli independence day (Yom Ha'atzmaut). For the Palestinians it is an annual day of commemoration of the displacement that followed the Israeli Declaration of Independence in 1948.
During the 1948 Palestine War, an estimated 700,000 Palestinians were expelled or fled, and hundreds of Palestinian villages were depopulated and destroyed.[2][3] The vast majority of Palestinian refugees, both those outside the 1949 armistice lines at the war's conclusion and those internally displaced, were barred by the newly declared state of Israel from returning to their homes or reclaiming their property
These refugees and their descendants number several million people today, divided between Jordan (2 million), Lebanon (427,057), Syria (477,700), the West Bank (788,108) and the Gaza Strip (1.1 million), with at least another quarter of a million internally displaced Palestinians in Israel.[4] The displacement, dispossession and dispersal of the Palestinian people is known to them as al-Nakba, meaning "the catastrophe," or "the disaster."

Israel and the Children of Israel appear numerous times in the Quran, written 1400 years ago.

Number of times the fakestinians appear in the Quran: Zero. Not even once. Because, they're an invention

In fact, the entire surah 17 of the quran is called Children of Israel, Bani Israel
Quran 17:2: We gave Moses the Book, and made it a Guide to the Children of Israel, (commanding): "Take not other than Me as Disposer of (your) affairs

Egypt ?

Jos

Jews lived in Egypt 1000+ years before Arabs.

Go to the dunce corner

And they were slaves to whom?

Jos

Dunce, in Hellenistic Egypt, Jews had the same rights and freedoms as all others. Ptolemy, in fact, invited Jews to live in Alexandria, Egypt where the Septuagint Greek translation of the Hebrew Bible was translated to serve the 1 million+ Jewish community.

There were no Arabs in Egypt until 1000 years later.

Stay in the dunce's corner, dunce

Wall Street Journal: "The Arab World's Dirty Secret".
As Israelis and Palestinians prepare to visit Washington next week to begin direct peace talks, it's worth recalling what refugees the Palestinians are—in Arab countries.
Last week, Lebanon's parliament amended a clause in a 1946 law that had been used to bar the 400,000 Palestinians living in the country from taking any but the most menial jobs. "I was born in Lebanon and I have never known Palestine," the AP quoted one 45-year-old Palestinian who works as a cab driver. "We want to live like Lebanese. We are human beings and we need civil rights."

The dirty little secret of the Arab world is that it has consistently treated Palestinians living in its midst with contempt and often violence. In 1970, Jordan expelled thousands of Palestinian militants after Yasser Arafat attempted a coup against King Hussein. In 1991, Kuwait expelled some 400,000 Palestinians working in the country as punishment for Arafat's support for Saddam Hussein in the first Gulf War.

For six decades, Palestinians have been forced by Arab governments to live in often squalid conditions so that they could serve as propaganda tools against Israel, even as millions of refugees elsewhere have been repatriated and absorbed by their host countries. This month's vote still falls short of giving Palestinian Lebanese the rights they deserve, including citizenship. But it's a reminder of the cynicism of so much Arab pro-Palestinian propaganda, and the credulity of those who fall for it.
