To those who voted for Oama

It took 30 years to find out what trickle down economics would produce. To even try and claim Obamas policies have bore fruit for better or for worse, its a lesson in futility.

Keynesian economics? That's old hat, son. It's all Kenyan economics now.

If our country is borrowing a lot of money to fight a war, and then I end that war, that gives me "savings" which can then be used to buy more teachers, cops, firemen, bridges, and roads.

Any questions?

It's just ludicrous when cold economic theory is used as intellectual insulation to preach sucking up to the rich and dumping the poor. I am sure many of the horrors of history were discussed in such remote terms by men who did not actually have to do them in person.

I like how some dickhead who can't even properly spell or utilize the English language wants to educate the rest of us.

Funny thing is that Maynard Keynes and Milton Friedman were similar in a lot of ways, most notably that both advocated bailing out private industry in times of trouble.

But Friedman had no provision for funding that. In other words, 'magic money'. Or voodoo economics.

I like the sound of this magic money.
Does Paul Ryan go to the same bank as Friedman?

Trickle down economics has been around since before Keynes or Mises.

William Jennings Bryan:

There are two ideas of government. There are those who believe that if you just legislate to make the well-to-do prosperous, that their prosperity will leak through on those below. The Democratic idea has been that if you legislate to make the masses prosperous their prosperity will find its way up and through every class that rests upon it.

You come to us and tell us that the great cities are in favor of the gold standard. I tell you that the great cities rest upon these broad and fertile prairies. Burn down your cities and leave our farms, and your cities will spring up again as if by magic. But destroy our farms and the grass will grow in the streets of every city in the country.

Cross of Gold speech.

Common Sense, the last vestige of sanity before one transcends into insanity. Milton Friedman predicted what would happen, we now have the opportunity to live and experience the nightmare first hand. The progression into a full fledged socialist country may well be beyond reversal. It will be a slow and agonizing road for many to accept, but you will learn to accept it. The promise of what was once known as the gleaming country full of opportunity is quickly fading into the sunset.

Commit suicide now and avoid the rush! Seriously all these dire predictions are just stupid. The rich have always been convinced they are entitled to all the wealth and power but guess what? No country ever prospered overall just giving it to them.

The good ol' boy farmer anti-federalist Thomas Jefferson, who is worshipped by Libertarians and Republicans everywhere, had very strong opinions about the dangers of allowing wealth to become unnaturally concentrated in the hands of the wealthy.

Funny how they are ignorant of that.

However, the solution is not higher taxes on the wealthy, although that would mitigate the problem to a small degree.

The solution is to remove the existing legislative thumbs which tilt the scale to the rich man's advantage.
