You guys need to make a decision about what you want this site to be. A hate-filled site where racists annd other haters post their tripe without interference, or a site where passionate, but not hate-filled discussions occur. There are now several prolithic posters I'm willing to bet money are also regular posters on proper hate-sites posting their stuff here. If your Moderators were actually doing their job that wouldn't be a huge problem as such posts went to the flame groups, but the Mods aren't on the ball when they're on at all. Either the site needs to adopt a script for some common-sense censorship, you need to recruit more Mods, or the site is going to go in the toilet when it's teetering on the rim already. Can't imagine many wanna be associated with a hate site but that's what usmb.com is looking like more and more everyday.

There's no such thing as absolute free speech anywhere in the world. So why try for that standard online?

Since Delta has never even hinted at having inappropriate feelings, I would like to see actual adult conversation about how to protect children from child predators.

A lot of decent people have really slowed down posting here just for that reason. For my part, I look at the new topics and don't even open most threads.

This board has been an education for me in that I really didn't realize how much the radical right hates Blacks, Jews, Hispanics, women, gays, children, vets, elderly ... In a very real way, this board serves to educate caring, thinking individuals as to what we all need to fight.

As I've said before, I long for the days of real Conservatives.

As to the site going in the toilet - Too late.

If it were my board, I wouldn't put up with the slime but this has been talked about before and the owners/admin have made it very clear they want them here. Indeed, it looks to me that they would prefer the decent people leave.

We're all pro free speech. That's the whole reason we're here. It just seems you referred to a member's concern about hate with "bad Attitude and opinion". Why is concern about hate a "bad attitude" exactly? Doesn't that mean propagating hate would be a "good attitude"?

Luddy and Pogo aren't really against hate so much as they are wanting their own brand to be the one officially sanctioned.

There does seem to be no end to the number of unintelligent far right haters, but the number of unintelligent far lefties doing little but practicing their opposing brand is not inconsiderable.

If you told Luddy that loving dogs was "right wing", he would kick a few puppies to the curb just to make sure.

Everyone's definition is different.

So if we call another poster a name is that hate speech?

How do you define the limits?

I think this site has it correct. I don't mind the ignorant racists, it is a great way to show how out of sync they are in this country.

It helps us all to see that hatred and racism still exist and how utterly ridiculous they are and how deep and insane the belief is.
