To correct a common misconception regarding embassy sovereignty

The fact remains that an attack on our embassy is an attack on us. And we do have an obligation to ensure our people are as safe as possible. There was a lot of communication between Chris Stevens and people in the Obama administration. It didn't do any good and pleas for help went unanswered. How hard is it to get a handful of people out of a dangerous situation when we have that much advance notice of trouble? Is Obama up to speed on all the attacks that had been going on in the area the last six months? Does he care or does he have better things to do than worry about a few Americans being threatened by radical Muslims?

We know that the attacks lasted 7 hours, was observed by our drones and no one interferred. We know that two of the victims were killed in the last hours of the attack. We know that two hours into the attack, a terrorist group with al Qaeda ties took credit and that the attack was planned for the anniversary of 9/11. It would stand to reason that our officials are on higher alert every 9/11, but that doesn't seem to be the case here. In the face of threats and attacks in the area, which were likely investigated and known to be al Qaeda groups, no action was taken. Obama had to have known who was responsible prior to making endless speeches condemning an American film maker. The youtube video was denounced repeatedly. We are still awaiting a condemnation of al Qaeda and other terrorists in the region, including the Muslim Brotherhood, who took control over Egypt with Obama's stamp of approval.

I don't give a fuck if people consider our embassies as sovereign or not. We have an agreement with many countries regarding embassies. Attacks on embassies have always been regarded as attacks on the countries they represent.

Seriously, when can we expect Obama to come out and condemn the terrorists with the same conviction he condemned an American filmmaker?

The problems with this Consulate were negligent and bordered on the criminal.
First, the building was guarded not by US Military personnel but local "guards". People who we now know were not to be trusted. What US personnel were there for protection were nopt permitted to carry any firearms. There was no security barrier.
All of this nonsense was due to the Administration's absolute commitment to political correctness. It cost the lives of 4 Americans in a brutal attack.
What was Obama's response? "We apologize if we offended you."
