There was a time during the dark ages that people received their Bachelors Degrees and then went on to play pro sports. Then we became much more diverse and everything became hate and racism. The salaries for pros are obscene. The college sports of basketball and football have brought in money for the schools also with the help of others that graduated from the schools who give money before the Cable TV and massive TV contracts became the norm. When it comes to sports it is what is popular over what is not. Male athletes in American rugby or lacrosse are several times the athletes that the Women soccer players are. But no traction for them. As for intellect, come on!

There is a myth that football and basketball are big moneymakers for schools

At championship levels they make big bucks
Most Div 1 Schools lose money on sports

Penn State was an example of all schools. Paterno pulled the strings. He saw the run up for many many decades and ruled the roost. He had run ins with a high level female who controlled women's sport over how much money they should receive. Football and Basketball made the bucks. The money flowed downhill from there to the rest of the sports and that includes less popular male sports.

I agree there are tremendous female athletes. Better then many men. Different sports are what we are talking about now. Resources do not make it to men. who can be much more violent then women. And are. Although women are becoming more violent. In fact domestic arguments are more and more female initiated now. But we live off old laws enacted with Biden's help some decades ago. There was a reason that midnight basketball was started in inner city neighborhoods. People chuckled but the meaning was clear. Women at a higher percentage do not need high profile sports like men do as role models. Even though there are men in those sports who are not role models.

Penn State is not an example of all Div 1 Schools. They are an elite program
Most Div 1 Schools put out big money for their Football teams and it does not turn a profit. They don’t have the alumni, attendance or network contracts
