So, the theory here is that the advent of wimmins' college soccer programs (due to Title IX requirements) resulted in enhanced development of female soccer players, which has resulted in the U.S. having a "dominant" team in international soccer competition.

Does the background of the best players support this hypothesis?

But for me, a person who thinks that Division I college athletics are an abomination, I'm no proponent of Title IX. Took a bad situation and made it more badder.
