Trump has made calling Clinton a liar and crook his campaign mantra, but it is he that has the background for being a provable liar and a crook. Now that the general election campaign has begun, the tactic of repeating lies over and over like he did in the primary election is not going to work. His audience no longer consists of just the brainwashed and easy to fool fans in the primary. He has to address objective and neutral voters now. They aren't as easy to fool.
