I do not see the desire for america to be dragged down at all. I don,t think thing are that dismal in the uk . I want america to do well. I think neither mitt romney or barack obama would ever drag america down. Their both good men that want the best for their country.

I am a liberal so i agree with some of obama views of support for a balanced budget of cutting the debt but not cutting to fast. I still have some conservative view. I think welfare needs to be cut more to save money in uk and we need to be tough on criminals .

I am not mourning the loss of this election. President obama just has view that are closer to mine. If mitt romney becomes your president then i will want to suceed. He a good american and wants the best for his nation.

I find it amusing that you would so wholeheartedly support Obama when he's done some pretty, hmmm...impolite and politically offensive things with respect to the UK. Or his wife, pawing at the Queen the way she did. Obama's last budget proposal was rejected unanimously by both Republicans and Democrats. The guy has jacked our deficeit more than any other President in the history of our nation. Under Bush our debt was coming out our ears. Under Obama it's coming out our ears, eyes, nose, ass, and pores.

well i do think he wants a balanced budget. But i will admit that he did not work enough with conservatives in congress to make thing happen. Bill clinton when dealing with conservatives was able to find a grand baragin deal with both newt and bob dole. But obama was not willing for me to do hard yards during debt celing crisis with john bohenir. Although i would argue conservatives were not that helpful during debt celing crisis.

I think both sides though have been at fault in congress of not being able to compromise more when trying to reach a a balanced budget.

I am not sure he wants to turn america into socalist nation although i respect his like for goverment can seem like that.

I think america still divided politically in their views but i think that romney has the edge in this election as unemployment been slow to improve under obama. So people will naturally in any election in any country turn to someone else.

I agree with many of your points. I have been to america and have found nothing but friendly and warm welcoming people. I went to new york and Florida and found such welcoming and friendly people.

I am glad america and uk have such a close relationship. We have been so much together including wars and dealing with recessions. We are two great countries that try to look towards a better world.

Your find people in uk have mixed views on who they want to win. Their are many who want romney to win and their are many who want obama. Whoever wins any election though the close relationship between the two countries will never change.

Oh I don't know. I think Obama has been ridiculously disrespectful of GB. Sending back the bust of Winston Churchill that was given to us as a gift by the British people as a show of support like during WWII was a complete slap in the face. The State Department saying "Who is Great Britain? They have no special status. They can take a number just like everyone else." I mean WTF?!?!?!? Say that to Turkey, not Great Britain.

Well i was surpised he sent back statue of churchill. That was a mistake on his part. But i think mostly he been very respectful of the uk. He could not have given our prime minster a more warm welcome when he visited earlier this year. He was also was very respetful to our queen i thought when he came over.

Mostly i think american presidents in general have been nothing but respectful towards out queen.

In terms of new york i found nothing but warm and friendly people. They were lot more friendly then those i find back here in london. Then again i did only go the once but it still was more friendly then people back in here in london

Prior to that he was pretty extreme liberal and then he decided to play ball. The exact same thing happened with Obama and the GOP tidal wave of 2010. Only Obama didn't play ball like Clinton did...perhaps because Democrats still held the Senate. As far as compromise....no I think you misunderstand. The 2010 GOP tidal wave happened because the people were furious with what Obama and the Democrats had done. They wanted it stopped. They were put into power NOT to compromise.

well i think obama should have played ball more even with senate control as more could have got done. At same time i disagree that every american sent gop into house just for power.
