GAZA, (PIC)-- Palestinian minister of agriculture Mohamed Al-Agha said his ministry intends to have 1,000 dunums of almond saplings planted in northern Gaza Strip and will distribute them to farmers for free during the current month.

In a press release on Sunday, Agha added that thousands of dunums of these young trees will be also planted throughout Gaza agricultural lands in the coming days.

During a field trip to the targeted areas in Beit Lahiya district, the minister stated that this step would meet the population's needs of almonds.

He also pointed to another plan to revive the production of honey through distributing 100,000 flower saplings to the farmers in order to cultivate them in the areas that dried up because of Israel's practices and its destruction of agricultural lands.

This month? What a coincidence. Within this month comes Tu B'Shevat--Jewish Arbor Day. I like productivity.

It makes you wonder how long it will be before the ziotard goons will come in and bulldoze that land...again.
