I'm a Seahawks fan who is not sold on the big move my Hawks made earlier this month. Any Pac-10 people here think Pete can do better now than in his first NFL go around? (I don't see a lot of those games here in the Midwest... unless the Buckeye's are kickin' Oregon around, lol)

I do like some of the other coaches that Carroll has brought along. Also like that he evaluates talent well as Seattle has draft picks of #6, #14 and another in the top 40 somewhere. Following is a decent article on the scheme that Pete will employ...

**oops, still too nooby to post link*** (it's Seahawks Insider from the News Tribune)

I know it's playoff time but I'm a noob and for football fans with teams like mine, some of us have been thinking about the draft since late October. :(

He will not enjoy it. Pete Carroll is a college coach. He enjoys the recruiting process and having an impact on the young player's development. Carroll also likes to be respected by his players, and it's not likely that he will get the same kind of respect from professional players as he does from college players.

This is what Pete Carroll enjoys.

His record in the NFL is mediocre at best. For one season with the N.Y. Jets when they went 6-10 for the 1994 season. Next was the Patriots for 3 seasons ('97-99) with one AFC East Championship. For those three years the Pats were 27-21.
