Thoughts on Co-Chair's Debt Commission plan?

I actually am a fan of it. I think its political suicide to vote for all of it but its sad that we live in a country that would rather our politicians just do what it takes to be reelected instead of doing what is right.

Thoughts?

I think for us to seriously consider the debt we owe is to cut all discretionary spending and including Defense. Click on the co-chair's proposal. Its actual only 50 powerpoint slides so should take 10-15 minutes to read.

Its not going to be something everyone like. Heck I think most people are going to hate it but if Republicans and Democrats are serious about solving the debt, this has to occur. This is just a draft. Nothing here has to move forward but it needs to happen. So I know its tough but things I do agree with:

Increasing the retirement age to 68.
Cut defense spending

Others I could do without but let the debate begin.
