Thought the CBO was always right?

Is any organization always right, I would say no.

But is this thing The CBO talking about a monster--yep, the budget is the King Kong of all Budgets ever concieved. We are like the poor Japanese scientists that look up and yell "It's King Kong" before Reptilian fire breath comes raining down and torch us!!

Hey--why don't you Republicans do what the noble opposition is suppose to do and start hacking away at that monster?

Do you not get it yet? After the Stimulus package hit GOP noble opposition(after some Republicans participated then ran from the vote), the Dems are now trying the "Socialism or Death" Strategy!!

Ask for eveything that a good lefty can think of, and let the Republican Budgetary Grind Machine take a hold of it and chopp it down into itsy bitsy pieces. Strategy--look at the amount to make this years budget balanced(take into the stimulus plan and so forth) and shoot for 20% less than that.

Thats right GOP-ers!! You have a real Job to do, now start chopping away.

in case you didnt notice, the GOP doesnt have the numbers in congress to do anything
besides making sure their consituents get some share of this pie they will be obligated to pay for

no, because there are 3 senators that ran as republicans that will work with the dems in the senate more than they will work with the rest of the republicans
so, no, the GOP doesnt have anything they can do

hell, stop complaining, its what you guys wanted
so now its all your baby

I doubt that the Dems will vote this thing through--but we still need that goose egg from across the aisle to help kill this monster.

According to our leftist "friends" under Bush the CBO was always right when ever it predicted anything that was against the president. How about now?

GOP predicts doomsday if Obama budget passed

The CBO predicted a deficit of $2.3 trillion worse than what the administration projected. Romer downplayed those numbers.

I'd say the CBO is more likely to be right than the administration. I would also like to note that although their prediction isn't as optimistic as the administration's, they are still predicting that the deficit will shrink considerably from where it is now but wont cross over into a surplus.

The CBO also predicts that after 2009 we will have continuous growth in GDP until 2019. So are they are correct in their estimation in that as well?

honestly, i dont believe either group making these predictions

I don't believe anyone either. I don't think anyone knows.

That said, if I had a choice between the (any) current administration or the CBO, I'd choose the CBO.
