Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

Another passage that may help you is the account of Jesus asleep in the boat when a violent storm hit. It is a reminder to us that he is with us always, even when storms enter our lives. Prayers for you and your loved ones.

Here's another good one:

"For those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength
They shall mount up with wings of eagles
They shall run and not be weary
They shall walk and not faint"

--Isaiah 40:13

I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.”

hocus pocus ...

not quite "for You are with me", until there is triumph over evil - the individual is on their own, the objective is what matters. good luck.

I don't believe in luck, though if I receive some, I suppose good is better than bad.

No, just reflecting. Some challenges in a challenging country.

Our country, or yours? IMHO, hard challenges are better than no challenges. That's how progress is made, in response to hard challenges. It takes awhile sometimes, often too long but when you live in a democratically-elected representative republic, well that's what you get.

Definitely my country.

I've warned you guys constantly, do NOT emulate us or our system. Places like Toronto have only survived due to U.S jobs and subsidies.

I'm pretty sure at this point there is never any growth without a little pain, and a motivational instance spurring you to get off your ass and get going. That could be the drill sargeant in boot camp or the co worker making better time than you and about to get the promotion, but generally there is an uncomfortable situation that forces us to say "I have to change this".

I am also sure it has to get really dark before a person can recognize the light for what it is. Still, we cant do anything without God which is what this country is discovering, we kicked him out and are kicking him out daily from any number of venues to rounds of applause from the deviant masses.

At some point when the desperation sets in people will find a need to return to God and quit running around giving him the middle finger at every opportunity and hoping he wont be too pissed at them for thier shenanigans, and he will be there

Psalm 40:

I waited patiently on the lord (although I did not) he turned to me and heard my cry.
He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire
He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand
He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to the Lord our God.

I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” Psalm 23:4

First, rest assured that the US is not emulating Canada, we're way too arrogant for that. Whatever our mistakes and foolishness, it's totally on us and no one else. Second, I am assuming your anguish is for future generations rather than yourself, which I share BTW. There's a major shitstorm coming, it's just a question of when and it won't be pretty. And I dunno how long it'll last either, or what the end result will be. Empires and civilizations collapse, and something new replaces them. Usually with a lot of collateral damage and suffering, but that's the way of the world and humanity has not yet smartened up enough to avoid it.

What can any of us do to mitigate or prevent such calamities? Not much really, you write your warnings and that's good but I don't know what else an ordinary schmuck like you or me can do to make a difference. Assuming you are an ordinary schmuck like me that is. :04: There is a growing number of analysts who are forecasting an economic downturn next year or the year after, maybe it'll be even later than that but clearly we are on an unsustainable path and neither political party has the balls to do anything about it. Sometimes when that big ball of shit is rolling downhill, all you can do is yell "look out"! and then get out of the way.

Note: I wrote this before I saw your #16 post. I'll get to that later.

Well those are bigger world problems, my problem is with the covert apparatus, run by certain police agencies.

As it were, I have no allegations against me nor charges, nor a criminal record. I was unfortunate to have crossed paths with the wrong animals. I won't ever stop fighting for what's right though, they went too far, and I've been a major thorn in the side of many. It's cost our economy in particular, of this I am confident. I reached out to far too many people with too many specifics.

Nothing wrong with fighting for what's right, some would call that patriotism. But your OP and thread title sounded very ominous, like you are about to be shot or arrested in the middle of the night and never to be seen again. Didn't know that happened in Canada, yuck. Wishing you well in all your efforts. "Endeavor to persevere", movie buffs probably know where that quote comes from.

They don't need to do that, that would be too overt, they use character assassination, misrepresentation, lies to defend predators within their ranks and the East German tactic of Zersetzung. All behind ones back.

I recommend watching the movie "The Lives of Others". You have to read subtitles, but it's a fictional story about the Stasi. One scene is most reflective of the Canadian system, though it's not done so directly as ours is more about giving "positive reinforcement" for assistance than negative threats for betrayal. This means benefit with government positions for their low performing kids, opportunites etc. A major reason (of many) our economy is so uncompetitive, lacking innovation and civil liberties. This is how our police work, from local to provincial/Feds.

In one scene, the Stasi are entering the targets apartment, and one guy is on look out. He notices the lady across the way looking out her peephole. He knocks of the door and tells her "your daughters name is so and so, she goes to the University of whatever." and lets her no in no uncertain terms that her education and future will be finished if she doesn't keep her mouth shut about what she saw. Our system is similar, but because we are more socialist and have so many low performers, they give candy to them for help (usually in the form of a job). A free ride, so to speak. While convincing their informant/ally that you are doing what is right because "hey, look, this guy is a real piece of shyte anyways".

It might be used in some cases in America, but less so, as you have a firm belief in Due Process, Rule of Law and individual liberty. Some would blow the whistle on their tactics without fear, as your media would be interested, and, they would ask those trying to recruit them, "why don't you take him to court then and prove your case". This is why I believe you must strongly fight against trial by media and other unfounded allegations against Americans. This is the Canadian/British system of destroying citizens. No charges, no crimes and very nefarious methodology of manufacturing threats.

In Canada, guilty agencies who want to avoid accountability become desperate and reach out to family members, friends, workplaces, whomever they can to "get ahead of the situation", they are all hands on deck when they know there will be major costs for them if the public and allied agencies knew the truth, not just their fables. In my case, I not only know of excessive abuses, but, details that could (and I suggest have) impacted foreign businesses desire to operate or expand in Canada.

I know how desperate they've become in their desire to destroy me, as I can name probably more than 3 dozen covert police and details I shouldn't know, I do know. Why and how? That's what they cannot and hopefully will not figure out. I can say I didn't obtain any of the details through illegal means.
