The Jews: War and A Sickness
by Michael Ledeen, National Review
July 13, 2005

It was widely noted, most passionately by the Iraqi blogger Hammorabi, that when Tony Blair reminded the House of Commons that many countries had been scourged by the terrorists in recent years, he omitted Iraq from the list. His speechwriters had Iraq in a different part of their database; Iraqis weren't victims of terrorism in the same way as Brits, Americans, Kenyans, and Indonesians. One's instinct is to let it go as an oversight, but there was another country missing from the list, and this case was somewhat less widely noted: Israel. And at this point, one is forced to do some thinking. What do these two countries have in common, that they should both be ignored in the British government's response to the London attacks?

Iraq and Israel are arguably the two major victims of Islamic terrorism. Yet they did not come to Blair's mind. Or maybe they did, and maybe there was a reason they were omitted.

The article talks about the influx of Muslism and hate speech in London, let's pray that will never happen in the U.S

Poor U.K. They invite every filthy West-hating Muslim on the planet to their little island to set up shop, AND they bend over backward to fight the Jews' wars in the Middle East. Result: the bombing of London by teenage jihadists and the excoriation of Blair for "anti-Semitism" by America-hating Israel-firster Michael Ledeen.

Sounds like a country I live in.

Who here thinks we should let the Muslims and Jews fight it out amongst themselves, far, far away from our beautiful Christian, Western lands?

Iraq and Israel are both countries that are hit by terrorists on a semi-regular basis. All of the other countries listed were ones that were caught off guard by terrorrism because it never happens to them. To cut it short, the fact that Israel and Iraq are victims of terrorism goes without saying.

Why should two nations that endorse and practice terrorism bitch about being victims of terrorism?
