You must live in a cave and get spoon fed your information. 2 days ago, the school assistance lunch program was covered on a local news station. A few years ago, the McDonalds thing was covered on a local news report. Sorry, it wasn't covered on Foxnews, Hannity or Rush since it's completely contrary to their BS they spew. It's just local where you have to live somewhere to learn about it locally. That means it's probably pretty well true just about everywhere. If you require a link then you wouldn't believe a link if I gave you one since it would not be an approved Hannity/Rush link. Turn off the NPR, Turn off Foxnews, dump the Cable. There is a whole other world by watching and listening to local TV and Radio stations.
What PC has her head stuck three feet in the sand about is that the nativist right is spinning a narrative about liberal “billionaires” imposing their social values on the working class. They don’t just say “liberal,” they have to include “billionaires” because this language stirs resentment by classifying them as outsiders who are trying to destroy them, their lifestyles, their communities.
Whereas the left stirs class resentment to exploit economic issues, the right is using class resentment to exploit social issues.
True, We all have been paying into that shit our whole adult lives. And that’s the problem I’m 50 years old I’ll never see a penny from it I’m fine with that. But I would gladly quit paying into it right now and never see anything I’ve paid into it. Fuck your Social Security and Medicare/Cade, Most people get far more out of it up to this point then they ever paid into it that’s why it’s a losing fucking shit show.
Like I’ve said all along socialism is a fuck up because it depends on other peoples money, once that money runs out banana republic.
‘Welfare’ as a wholly owned subsidiary of the government, and its main result is the incentivizing of a disrespect for oneself, and for the entity that provides the welfare. As more folks in a poor neighborhood languish with little or no work, entire local culture begins to change: daily work is no longer the expected social norm. Extended periods of hanging around the neighborhood, neither working nor going to school becoming more and more socially acceptable.
Since productive activity not making any economic sense because of the work disincentives of the welfare plantation, other kinds of activities proliferate: drug and alcohol abuse, crime, recreational sex, illegitimacy, and family breakup are the new social norms, as does the culture of violence.
"The lessons of history … show conclusively that continued dependence upon relief induces a spiritual and moral disintegration fundamentally destructive to the national fiber. To dole out relief in this way is to administer a narcotic, a subtle destroyer of the human spirit."
These searing words about Depression-era welfare are from Franklin Roosevelt's 1935 State of the Union Address.
On Dec. 7, 2012, liberal New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof offered an unexpected concession:
“This is painful for a liberal to admit, but … America’s safety net can sometimes entangle people in a soul-crushing dependency. Our poverty programs do rescue many people, but other times they backfire.”
Welfare, as it is intended,
a. isn't working....nearly the same 'poverty rate' as prior to the War on Poverty
b. it destroys incentive and families
c. it keeps socialists and communists in office
d. it is unnecessary as there is no real poverty in America.
e. step one....get rid of minimum wage laws.
“Earned success is the secret to meaningful happiness. The government can improve your net worth with a check, but it cannot improve your self-worth.”
Why the fuck would we want anything to do with top down taxation? Punishment for success… Go live in Europe you fucking old coot
It only works because the Democrats enforce and reward it.
Those of us who don't process the world via envy learned it from our family.
That's why the Left hates families....
Abolition [Aufhebung] of the family! Even the most radical flare up at this infamous proposal of the Communists. On what foundation is the present family, the bourgeois family, based? On capital, on private gain. In its completely developed form, this family exists only among the bourgeoisie." Marx and Engels, Communist Manifesto, ch 2...
Communist Manifesto (Chapter 2)
After losing power, Leon Trotsky would claim that the reason that communism had not been successful was that Stalin had not been ruthless enough in his efforts to eliminate the family. See Trotsky's The Revolution Betrayed, trans. Max Eastman, New York, 1965, pp. 145ff.

see you have no idea, so it must be you with your head buried in that sand.
What the point is, if the left wish billionaires to give up their money, then be good leaders and give up all of their money. forfeit it over, step out and walk the walk. Seems fair to me.
