Anthony Hopkins was arrested after he delivered his sermon at the Inspirational Tabernacle Church of God.
An evangelical preacher killed his wife several years ago and stuffed her body in a freezer after she caught him abusing their daughter, according to police and court documents.

Anthony Hopkins, 37, was arrested Monday night at the Inspirational Tabernacle Church of God in Christ in Jackson, Alabama, just after he had delivered a sermon to a congregation that included his seven other children, officials said.

He faces charges including murder, rape, sodomy, sexual abuse and incest.

Hopkins was denied bail Thursday when he appeared before Mobile County District Judge George Hardesty. The case is set for arraignment next week, Hardesty's clerk said.

Woman Convicted of Murdering Preacher Husband to be Released

Mary Winkler, 33, the Tennessee woman who was convicted of fatally shooting her husband in the back, is expected to be released from a mental health facility Tuesday or Wednesday, attorney Steve Farese told CNN.

Farese said his client is refusing to speak to news media because she is involved with a legal battle to win custody of her three daughters and is faced with a $2 million civil suit filed by the parents of her slain husband, Matthew Winkler.

Farese also said that his client likely will return to her job at the dry cleaners in McMinnville, Tennessee, where she worked before the trial.

Matthew Winkler was a popular preacher the Fourth Street Church of Christ in Selmer, a town of 4,500 people located about 80 miles east of Memphis. On March 22, 2006, church elders went searching for Winkler after he failed to show up for evening vespers. Inside the parsonage, the elders found the body of the popular minister. He had been shot in the back. The next day, Winkler’s wife, Mary, was found in Orange Beach, Alabama where she was promptly arrested.

George Crossley collapsed Wednesday at the Altamonte Springs radio station WEUS-810 AM, where he was a talk-show host. The station's owner said Thursday that Crossley died at a Longwood hospital.
As an evangelical Christian preacher with a radio and television ministry in the 1980s, Crossley called for bans on strip clubs, sex education and some Judy Blume children's books.
He served 40 months in prison for trying to hire an undercover federal agent to kill his lover's husband in 1996.

It flies in the face of what the US Constitution says - but that doesn't stop the Lefties from trying to completely erase religion (Christianity in particular) in the US. They are the ones infringing on the rights of others to practice their beliefs as they will.
