I agree, we need more recovery homes to help people get off the streets...some addiction the others for a roof over their heads..
The shelters have a 6 month waiting list, and soup kitchens rent is getting crazy high so they are closing.
Out Vets are pushed aside , as well as the elderly living on a fixed income..I could fill a page on what could be done if we didn't police the world..

I also have an issue with foreign aid. It's more like a protection racket organized by thugs. I also have an issue with people (mostly lefties) who claim that the greatest Country in the world where the "poor" have computers and cars "doesn't take care of it's people". Obama tried to prove that legal gun sales were the cause of all the violence in Mexico, not the vicious illegal murdering Drug CARTELS, the Mexican govt army that was escorting drug shipments across our border, and the police that were in the pockets of the Cartels...he tried to do this by hand-delivering thousands of weapons - guns and grenades - to the Mexican Drug cartels. The result was over 500 civilians killed, to include 1 US Border Patrol Agent and another American, a US military member at the hands of a terrorist in Chattanooga, TN who was found to be using one of Obama's 'Fast and Furious' guns!

And it did approve 2,476 guns to be sold to Mexico in 2006. In 2009, that number was up nearly 10 times, to 18,709. The State Department has since stopped disclosing numbers of guns it approves, and wouldn't give CBS News figures for 2010 or 2011.
