For Newt Gingrich it was the way he shot back at the host in the last debates when asked a stupid question. so now the people are thinking in SC "Aha, the media HATES Gingrich, ok stinking media, we are voting for Gingrich not Romney as we planned before" (remember how Romney was secure winner according to CNN just a week ago? it's sort of like this:

You catch a thief, and the thief screams "do whatever you want sir, just pleeeeeeeeeeeese don't throw me over the fence"... AHA!!!!! out the fence you go. BLAM

Another good example of this was how they used a Monical Lewinsky scandal with Clinton to distract from the real crimes he was comitting
