More stupidity from our elected officials. The older generation still does not get it. The Supreme Court ruled that this medium is an art form. The DA should concentrate on real violence. I think it is a waste of Law Enforcement funds to buy all that Ice Cream.

1. Marin county isn't paying for the ice cream, as far as I can tell Ben and Jerry's is donating it.

2. Marin county can afford it, anyway. It's one of the wealthiest counties in the country.

This isn't a First Amendment issue, it's a non-issue.


One's rights aren't 'violated' if the games are voluntarily exchanged for ice cream, no more than the Second Amendment is 'violated' when guns are exchanged for gift cards, as mentioned in the op-ed, regardless the efficacy of either.
