this election is a referendum on socialism

pure and simple, socialism is fine, but not in america. the president of obama is a socialist, the american voters will give him the boot, in deference to the founding fathers image of commerce set at perfect liberty. obama is incapable of carrying out that vision, and the american voters now know this. this election will strip him of his congressional support, the next, his job. bye bye birdie

So, then you agree with Sharron Angle that Social Security and MediCare need to be eliminated right away?

I don't care what others do, but just let me opt out.

The election is not a referenum on socialism. It is a referendum on jobs. It may also be one on wanting less government control of life, specifically health care.

The losers that can't see the growth of socialism in America need to get better glasses.

Oh they see it... that's why they're arguing semantics. Is it pure socialism? No. Then again, Socialsim in it's purest form is Communism. I think what we're facing is more of a European style social democracy type movement. Either way, it's bullshit, and the people didn't vote for this. Unfortunately some dumbfucks got caught up in an Obamagasm... and here we are. But, for the most part even most of these folks are way over it.

its still better than palin

That a difficult proposition as the Government and a large segment of the Leftist Media are providing the glasses. And what of the Government indoctrination centers some call the American Education system? :eusa_shhh::eusa_think:

Good to see you're coming around "T"; the Texas effort to rewrite textbooks and indocrinate rather than educate children is tantamount to establishing a ministry of truth. Now, if only you were less callous you might consider supporting a 'war on disease' and a 'war on ignorance' making America a better, less conservative place.

This election is an election on jobs [it's the economy, stupid].
Very few Americans support pure capitalism; those who do likely don't understand how allowing absolute freedom in commerce would adversly affect them.

Truer words have not been said.

this to me is a good example of socialistic "glossing over". it's just that we're too stupid to understand commerce set at perfect liberty, does that include adams, jefferson, franklin and the rest of the people too dim to get how business works? the bigger the government the better huh?

Dude, get real! The U. S. has already established a system of reformed capitalism aligned with the ethical ideals of social justice while maintaining the capitalist mode of production, rather than creating an alternative socialist economic system. We did that back in the late 1800's.

It was bigger government that freed the people from the stranglehold of big railroads in the 1870's.

If we brought back laissez faire, the right wing butt monkeys advocating you hear advocating it on talk radio, would find themselves working for subsistence wages in dirty dangerous factories owed by ruthless cutthroat capitalist like me.

Interesting, and with all of Americas social programs you felt a need to make a pronouncement now.

the president of obama is a socialist,

I have to see some real proof that refutes the fact Obama gave the Trillions to corporations, not the American people in need. National Health Care was for the rich, or the people would have free health care now. No, he is no socialist, Kenyon, fascist, etc. He is a puppet for someone, but not socialists.

Your current problem is, you have noone to host on your candy apple to oppose him, or give him your dream. There is also some question as to who is getting the boot in November. The BigT is knocking all your RNC candidates out of congress. The RNC is on their knees begging for campaign funds they pissed away on the strippers poles, chosing dead meat as candidates, and the BigT further splintering the party who may vote for Dem issues.

I would drop your sunshine flower and prepare for a reality check................

You could be right. If it is,the Socialists/Progressives/Democrats are in real trouble. I guess we'll see though. Make 2010 count America.

Well, they have to throw the socialist Keyword out there, or their members get confused. I am not sure they know what socialism is or what role it plays in their lives. I am an extremist, and one who enjoys a study of society, so I would welcome a nation based on pure capitalism with zero socialist programs. The perfect revenge for the wants of the republican. Yet when I give them their Utopia on a string, it scares the hell out of them.

Can't do that, dude. Anyone stupid enough to opt out is too stupid to provide for his own retirement. Some cutthroat swindler like "Bernie" Madoff, Allen Stanford or me would take advantage of your stupidity and steal your retirement money.

Then you'd go crying to the government, and we'd be back where we were in 1935.

I think this is a list of splinter parties from the RNC, or pretty close. Groups that have broken away and made their own philosophical statements. I don't see Nadar there, not sure what his group is.

Constitution Party (1992)
Green Party (1996)
Libertarian Party (1971)
America First Party (2002)
American Party (1968)
America's Independent Party (2008)
Boston Tea Party (2006)
Florida Whig Party (2006)
Independence Party of America (2007)
Moderate Party (2006)
Modern Whig Party (2008)
New American Independent Party (2004)
Objectivist Party (2008)
Peace and Freedom Party (1967)
Pirate Party of the United States (2006)
Prohibition Party (1869)
Reform Party of the United States of America (1995)
