This Drudge Headline really tells the story of the latest polls

I don't believe anyone can disparage Conservatives and Independents from voting this year with the stakes so high.. I think the base is beyond motivated. The Liberal Media are nothing but liars.. This may have worked before the new Media ruled the day, but no longer.. they've lost their hold on voters who can now turn to other resources for news, UNFILTERED AND FACTUAL.

Which leaves them with the angry mob, who they can just promise more free stuff. In the end Everybody loses. Is America that dumb??? .......Don't answer, .... trick question. ;)

WHICH POLLS WERE MOST ACCURATE IN '08?

DRUDGE REPORT 2012®

They are over sampling Democrats to get the Results they want.

They aren't doing this to show Obama ahead. They are doing this to convice Conservatives Obama is so ahead it's no use. They might as well stay home and not bother voting.

They are hoping to dispirit Romney supporters.

The liberal media will try any trick to try and get their guy over the finish line.

Remember they called Florida for Gore in 2000, with only 1% of the results in.

People got out of line waiting to vote for Bush, (in Florida) because they thought the election was over and it was no use.

They will try anything to keep you from voting.

Don't fall for usual tricks.

Hey Sam check this out. I was just about to put up a new thread, but I'll throw it here. Next time some lib tries to tell any of us Rasmussen is full of shit, tell em to stick it where the sun don't shine.

Why don't you just go and tell the political scientist at Fordham University that he's full of shit?

Go ahead. :D

The Pew Research Center and Rasmussen Reports were the most accurate in predicting the results of the 2008 election, according to a new analysis by Fordham University political scientist Costas Panagopoulos.

The Fordham analysis ranks 23 survey research organizations on their final, national pre-election polls, as reported on pollster.com.

Yes, the pollsters are willing to stake their reputations and livelihood on incorrect poll numbers just to show Obama ahead.

The Washington Post counted 27% more Democrats and Democrat leaning Independents and YET could only give Obama a 1% LEAD!!
That is very significant!!

There were 1,002 adults in this Washington Post Poll.
Obama and Romney close in poll among likely voters - The Washington Post

The Washington Post asked many questions in this 9/7/2012 poll one being :
Q: Generally speaking, do you usually think of yourself as a…

Democrat 33% or 330 adults answered
Republican 23% or 230 adults OR 100 less people were GOP!
Independent 37% or 370 adults

Studies show that 47% of Independents LEAN Democrat while only 34% of Independents lean GOP.

that adds another 174 of the 370 identified "Independents " that LEAN democrat!

All in all then there were at least 274 more people POLLED that would FAVOR Democrat over GOP!

So that meant at least 27% MORE of the people polled were Democrats/Independents and answered to poll questions like this :

Q: (Among likely voters) If the presidential election were being held today and the candidates were (Barack Obama, the Democrat)
and (Mitt Romney, the Republican), for whom would you vote?

49% said they would vote for Obama 48% or Romney..

Obama, Romney run close among likely voters after conventions - The Washington Post

THIS IS SO ENCOURAGING!!!

If with an advantage of 27% MORE people polled being Democrat or Leaning Democrat, Obama ONLY got 49% of the votes????
Think what that means for the general election WHERE VOTING BOOTHS are secret.. people don't have to say who they will vote for!!!

edited: no bolded red, please

Checking the methodology of any poll now is crucial. We've seen many of them even poll "adults" as compared to "likely voters" as well as the continual oversampling of Democrats so they can get their blazing headlines.

Clue. Most of the polls, since Labor Day, are now polling likely voters.

Rassmusen before the convention, had Romney leading 48 -45.

Since the conventions, they have Obama leading 48-45. That's a six point change.

Obama is going to win easily--5 million votes or so; 300-320 Electoral Votes. Book it. Hope you like your new sig line

You're right about one thing, if it's not easy, Obama won't be able to do it. This is an administration that has made it a top priority to distract voters from its helplessness in the face of every major problem. Shame on us if we let him get away with it again.

Rubbish.

Health care wasn't easy. Trying to hammer out a debt deal wasn't easy. Nothing has been easy with this Congress.

I'm copying your quote and will be happy to visit it on November 14th?

real clear politics average obama +3.1

unlike last week, no polls show romney tied or ahead. last week there were at least two.

gallup has president at+5

i saw rasmussen at +5 but that's not showing on RCP yet...

CNN Opinion Research at +6 for obama

RCP Avg

Obama 48.3
Romney 45.4

RealClearPolitics - Election 2012 - General Election: Romney vs. Obama

you're delusional... but then again, we knew that.

That number is skewed by the CNN and Gallup polls, which have are both Obama +6. Does pointing that out make me delusional?
