All anyone has to do to have real time chat is go to Pogo and play some poker and chat at the same time.

Never been to Pogo. I used to play poker on Full Tilt.

I still think a political chat on USMB would be more fun.

It would be an horrifically unintelligible cacophony.

I never use chat rooms. I really don't see the point. If I feel the need to speak with someone off topic, I can just send them a message.

I tend to agree with your disagreement. To have both of us agreeable on a disagreement wouldn't likely happen in real-time chat.

Too easily exploited, and it's another thing requiring constant moderator attention. Plus, this isn't setup as a chat enviroment. Any implementaiton would only be half-assed. Leave chat rooms to chat clients.
