This 38 billion is a drop in the bucket. Don't let the government scam you!

I don't know if attacks is the right word. It is important to express that it is not satisfactory so that the politicians don't start patting themselves on the back. I think it is great that the people are taking control of the politicians instead of the reverse. So I don't think it is an attack as much as it is saying what the hell in a confused way. You're right the conservatives are the minority right now though, but the compromise was not worth it in my opinion.

Compromise is all you can hope for when you only control the House Of Representatives. Hopefully this will change in 2012 but that's 2012 and this is now. I only see Tea Partiers attacking Republican Politicians who are at least trying to do something. I'm just getting sick of that. They're coming off as spoiled children throwing temper tantrums. The Tea Party movement needs to grow up and get real. They have pushed the Republicans back towards Conservatism and that's a great thing. But now they risk pissing people off with their constant attacks on the ones who are at least trying.

They owe Boehner and Ryan an apology. Those guys are out there fighting for Tea Party ideals and what thanks have they gotten? All they've gotten is a big slap in the face. They should probably tell the Tea Partiers to fuck off. They're making it a No-Win situation for these guys and that's when they decide to dump ya. Tea Partiers better be careful. The constant attacks are wearing thin. These are just my own observations though. They need to change their approach.

A budget without HUGE military cuts and without raising taxes on the millionaires, isn't a serious budget.

Do we really need to be able to blow up the world 6 times?

This is what President Kennedy said;
"A tax cut means higher family income and higher business profits and a balanced federal budget. Every taxpayer and his family will have more money left over after taxes for a new car, a new home, new conveniences, education and investment. Every businessman can keep a higher percentage of his profits in his cash register or put it to work expanding or improving his business, and as the national income grows, the federal government will ultimately end up with more revenues."

– John F. Kennedy, Sept. 18, 1963, radio and television address to the nation on tax-reduction bill

This is why you don't tax the millionaires. They are already paying 40% of the nations taxes.
You liberals need to get it through your heads that taxing more will not bring in more revenue.

Yes and he also said "Ask not what your Country can do for you,ask what you can do for your Country." The Democratic Party hasn't been about that in a very long time. For today's Democratic Party it's..."Ask only and often what your Country can do for you, never ever ask what you can do for your Country." This current Demcratic Party is not the 'Party of JFK.' The Socialist/Progressive loons hijacked the Party a long time ago. It is very sad but it is what it is.

Credit to Ezra Klein for a good one:

Calvin Coolidge once said that the business of America is business. Well, the business of the American government is insurance. Literally. If you look at how the federal government spends our money, it’s an insurance conglomerate protected by a large, standing army.

I think most people on the Right and Left feel government spending should be reduced. It's a question of how much and when. To do a cut of a hundred billion or more in 2011 would almost surely kill the recovery and possibly push us into another recession.

A much better approach is a cap on spending which includes a 1%/year cut over 10 years, a small increase in individual tax rates, and a reduction of corporate tax rates and elimination of corporate loopholes. This approach would bring the deficit back to the 600 billion dollar level, make taxes more equitable, decrease outsourcing abroad, and encourage corporations to stay in the US.

This is nothing. We need to get some real action and balance our budget, and get our shit together. I will let Mark Levin articulate it for me, however.

Paul Ryan echoes this point, as he warns the American people that we are being scammed with this supposed "deal".

It's good to see republicans become concerned with spending.

welcome to two years ago.

Yea the more i read about this agreement, the more i hate it. Even the CBO is saying the $38 Billion agreed to is really just $350 Million in cuts. Looks like i'm gonna have to apologize to the Tea Partiers who were ripping Boehner for this terrible deal. They were right in the end. This deal does nothing to reduce the Debt. We are getting scammed again. Business as usual i guess.
