Thirty things to have done by the age of 30...or maybe 40:

How many have you done?

(And no, I haven't done them all either!)

Activities
- sky dived
- bungy jumped
- scuba dived
- climbed a mountain
- been downhill skiing

Travel:
- visited New York
- visited Paris
- visited Asia
- visited Africa
- visited a tropical island or atoll


Special experiences:

- been arrested
- been fired
- been married
- been dumped
- been mugged

Skills:
- learnt another language to conversational level
- attained a degree
- won an award for your work
- been published
- attained a drivers license

Personal experiences
- cooked an excellent 3 course meal
- won a sporting event
- painted a picture or written a poem
- read (and understood) an 18th or 19th century novel
- seen a ballet or opera

Spiritual/Emotional Experiences
- visited Auschwitz, the Killing Fields or similar
- visited ancient ruins such as Angkor Wat, Pagan or Borobudur
- entered a mosque and a synagogue
- visited the Wailing Wall
- seen a large animal in the wild (tiger, elephant, shark, whale or gorilla)

i have climbed a small mountain, i have alpine skied (kinda shocked by that one being a milestone)

i have been to nyc...does the outer banks count ?

i have been arrested, been married, been dumped, been fired never been mugged.


i have been published, gotten a degree, does ebonics count? had a driver's license since i turned of age too.


would a road rally be considered a sporting event? i can check all those off...ballet opera blah blah blah

only the last one...seeing wonderful animals in the wild...but i count many more...sea lions, eagles, hawks, bears,

i found gettysburg very emotional.

military graveyards, the list goes on...but no big places.
 
I'm at 25....I'm a little embarrassed to realise I've never attended an opera or ballet, and never won a sporting event....at least not since a soccer tournament when I was about 10!

Bones -

i am not getting mugged to keep up with you two....

You've done well to avoid it!

Not a nice experience, but certainly a powerful one. Particularly the second one really shook me up for a while.

I did consider adding 'giving birth' to the list, but then it didn't seem very fair, as 50% don't get to have a go at that!

But you definitely get points for designing a dream house - that shows real skill. More so than my poem, anyway!

I am not saying it was a great design but I spent a year and half on all the plans, and the model. I didn't finish the model because it was my senior year and I got a little lazy at the end of the year. :D
