Third Of Americans In ‘Lower Classes’ Since Obama Took Office

Thank God, Obama will win.
Romney/Ryan would really screw the middle and lower classes, not to mention the elderly and sick.

You mean worse then Obama has already done? Can it be worse? Or didn't you read the OP? I guess you can just say things as if they are true but that certainly doesn't make it true.

.Reagan moved people up

Reagan moved the rich up.

Under Reagan, executive salaries rose 400% more than average salaries.

Let's alo remember that it was Reagan's overspending which established the trend, and his deregulation of banking which set the industry on a slow but steady path towards collapse. It was like removing safety railings from a cliff, and then being surprised when someone falls over 10 years later.
Yes, Reagan began the decline of the middle class in America.

BS, Clinton takes credit for the largest expansion of the peacetime economy in history, started by Reagan. The President who totally screwed America more then any other was in fact Clinton. It was predicted that if he signed the "free" trade agreements what we are seeing today would happen and it DID happen. Clinton's weak foreign policy where he did almost NOTHING about the first WTC bombing and NOTHING about the blatant act of war with the attack on the Cole. This weak actions, and his unauthorized attack on white Serbians, lead directly to 9/11. It is history it is proved nothing imagined. Clinton was the worse president for America, even worse then Carter, and Obama.

Third Of Americans In ‘Lower Classes’ Since Obama Took Office
Obama's closest family members are in third world poverty.

Obama has given Wall Street 3 bailouts, numerous corporate bailouts and gifts...and now Wall Street is going to get a $40 Billion a month bailout.

Got it?

.

Political rhetoric aside, a quick glance at the polls and the situation in the swing states shows us that Obama has a slight advantage at this time. Even though unemployment over 8%, even though (assuming the title of this thread is accurate) a third of Americans in "lower classes" since Obama took office.

I don't think it's terribly unreasonable to think that, given the above conditions, Romney should have a comfortable lead and that he and the Republicans should be moving towards a clear win across the board. So why isn't this happening? Two possibilities seem pretty reasonable:

First, that voters feel that the global economic meltdown unfolding when Obama took office and its effects and ripples were not only not Obama's fault, but far beyond the ability of any American President to "fix" in four years.

Second, that voters are looking at the alternative and are not convinced. This breaks down into two issues: Romney is simply not an impressive candidate, and the Democrats have a fair point when they ask "do you really want to go back to what got us here?", that the GOP's message is not connecting in general.

Or, some combination therein.

But, by all means, back to the partisan rhetoric.

We can see the change that we were waiting for.

Third Of Americans In ‘Lower Classes’ Since Obama Took Office

Survey: One-Third Of Americans In ‘Lower Classes’ Since Obama Took Office « CBS DC

WASHINGTON (CBS WASHINGTON) – In the course of Obama’s presidency, people saying they are in the “lower classes” have risen from one-quarter to one-third of the adult population.

According to the Pew Research Center, Americans who say they are in the lower-middle or lower-class has risen from 25 percent to 32 percent in the past four years, in the national survey of 2,508 adults.

Excellent point

But what should we do about it?

Why do we continue programs that allow the wealthy to accumulate and maintain more wealth without helping the overall economy?

We need more programs that help the lower working class. Education, healthcare, jobs training
Thanks for pointing that out
