I'm new here and just getting my bearings, but I can tell you that I do not watch either MSNBC or FOX to be informed... Its sad but true nonetheless.

Fox MAY be inciting some people, but I also know that MSNBC is misleading people into false assumptions of that violence. The fact is both networks are like pro-wrestling. Kind of like news but not really. A lot of pomp and circumstance with bits of reality strewn about to give it some appearance of truth, but in the end still just entertainment.

I figure if I want to hear from a liberal standpoint I turn on MSNBC, and if I want to hear from a conservative one I go for FOX news. Both have their preferences and both cater to their respective sides.

Well MSNBC reported a violent and hate-filled teaparty in my hometown a few months back... They used bits and pieces from one of their local NBC affiliates reports... they characterized it as a hateful and near riot where police were called. Even the local report wasn't anything like that when it was aired here originally.

The only funny thing was the teaparty was just a 3 minute walk from my house, and there was nothing like that at all. Matter of fact the only Cop there was not a cop at all but the fairgrounds security guy who is always there every time they are open. Incidentally he is a 70 year old retiree.

The only reason I knew anything was going on at all concerning a teaparty, was because there was an antiques show going on at the same time I went to.... I was there for almost 2 hours and all that I heard was a couple old men getting up and talking about their disagreement with the path the country was on regarding health care and a few things against socialism and that sort of thing.

There was no threats, no name calling, no racial slurs or any such nonsense they reported.

Now maybe that wasn't an outright lie but it wasn't the complete truth either and it definitely was misleading...

I think yuou are telling me how you really saw it but I'm affraid on the internets people tell stories all the time. Could you maybe direct me to the MSNBCs reporting on it. and the local reporting on it?

I dont think msnbc lies from what I have watched of it. Yes they come from a left prospective on many of the shows but in contrast FOX actually lies and even went to court to win that right.
