California GOP loses an up-and-comer in Nathan Fletcher - Los Angeles Times
The tipping point for Fletcher came last fall when he negotiated with Gov. Brown to eliminate a corporate tax break that rewarded companies for not building facilities and creating jobs in California. The $1-billion savings would have provided tax breaks for small businesses, buyers of manufacturing equipment and income tax payers who don't itemize. Republicans blocked the bill.
GOP colleagues told Fletcher, he says, that "'it may be the right thing to do, but we can't let Jerry Brown get a win,' which is just dumb."
In "On the Waterfront," the Brando character, an ex-boxer, bemoans that "I coulda had class."
Fletcher had it and still does. But the GOP has lost a contender.

who your party is
Well, if you look a bit deeper into the second article, you may find his real reason for leaving the GOP:
That said, Fletcher's timing certainly was suspect. It came only 17 days after he had lost the San Diego County GOP endorsement for mayor in the June 5 primary.
The party endorsed City Councilman Carl DeMaio, an orthodox conservative. Fletcher a fiscal conservative but a moderate on the environment, gay rights and immigration is running a distant third behind DeMaio and Democratic Rep. Bob Filner. The underdog assemblyman needed to shake things up and attract independent voters.
Could be an ulterior motive that has nothing to do with his "frustration", you think?
So you are calling him a liar?
"'it may be the right thing to do, but we can't let Jerry Brown get a win,'
another lie. That is not stated in the article you linked to in the OP.
Two proven lies in one thread. You're slipping.
Excuse me....dont you know her MO by now?
She does not find these articles and then post them.
Instead, she reads left wing blogs that offer their "spin" of articles like these, and then she posts the articles without reading them herself.
Those left wing bloggers knows there are idiots out there like TM that will take their word as truth without looking for discrepencies on their own.
I am talking about the OP, moron. TM makes a statement in the OP, that is NOT in the article she posted to prove it. Go look. Dipshit.
such logic doers not work in the mind of TM.Well, if you look a bit deeper into the second article, you may find his real reason for leaving the GOP:

Not at all; he could very well have been told exactly what he said, that the party blocked this bill for political reasons. However, that happened last fall, yet he stayed in the party despite his guilty conscience until two weeks after the GOP decided not to support him for mayor. I'm saying that the timeline seems convenient; if he was so outraged by this travesty he should have acted immediately, as any man of character would do. The fact that he didn't speaks volumes about his current motives.

Dude, it's right there in the LA Times article that she posted. She didn't lie. At worst, she's guilty of not providing a good source. But then again, she turned right around a few minutes later and posted another link. So here you are, throwing vile personal attacks, simply because it wasn't in the link you wanted it to be? Really? You're attacking her like this all over which link was first or second? Enough with the cyber bullying already, it's pathetic. I expect this kind of behavior from the gutter trash around here like Willow. You're one of the few conservatives around here who have the ability to tackle issues with intelligence and a reasonable mind. Have some dignity and rise above the rabble.
